See As Much As You Can

Shivani Tiwari, Entrance topper AD-PR 2010-2011 is a Graduate in Economics. With an innate flair for observation and writing she got into the advertising industry where she could experiment with her sense of “logical creativity”.
Hinging hugely on Articulation, Awareness, PRoficiency and Brevity, the IIMC AD-PR entrance exam is not the toughest nut to crack. What is definitely required is to be constantly in touch with the latest and the newest of the brands and conversations surrounding them. These brands might be companies or celebrities too. A daily snacking of advertisements doing the rounds on different channels and of the various issues hovering over news channels needs to be done.

For a course that encapsulates creativity and opinion building in its syllabi, it’s really crucial for the aspirants to show their affinity for the same through their attempt. Practice writing on abstract thoughts which would help you get the hang of the shorter questions where instant creativity is called for. Try thinking ahead of the stereotypical ideas and out of the compartmentalized avenues. Innovative expressions should be the core of your answers keeping logical sense of the same at the back of the mind.

Read as much as you can from business to celebrities to politics to issues spanning different fields. In addition to widely reading, it is crucial to critically analyze the issues you read, build opinions around it and at the same time dissect them well. As far as brands are concerned, understand the ongoing campaigns and the merits and demerits of the same.

Having said that, relax watch TV, listen to radio and peek-a-boo while shopping …….See as much as you can.

hi shivani i just want to know as i am crack entrance test in iimc but i do not know how much marks i get so can you tell me from where i get information whether i am topper or not ??
