PG Diploma in Advertising & Public Relation....2006

Maximum Marks: 85
Duration: 2 Hrs
 
 
Please Note:-
I. Read the questions carefully before attempting to answer. Build argument intellegently and succinctly.
II. There are four answer sheets A, B, C and D. Write your answers in the respective answer sheet. To illustrate part A will be written in Part A answer sheet. The paper would become invalid if attempted on a wrong answer sheet.
III. Please restrict your answers within the word limit. No extra sheets will be given.

Choose any three questions. (Maximum word limit per answer 300)
 
1. How would you define a metrosexual man? How is he reflected in the indian advertising? Give various examples to substantiate your argument....8 marks
 
2. Critically analyze the two campaigns, viz...Ashwariya Rai's whistle ad for Coca-cola and the "Pepsi TV" televison commercials. How do you relate to such advertising as a youngster? Discus... 8 Marks
 
3. India has witnessed a great retail revolution in the past five years or so. How do you think it is going to impact the small neighborhood shopkeeper..?.....8 Marks
 
4. Gauging through the crystal ball, what would be advertising be like in 2025? Give reasons for the prognosis....8 Marks

Choose any three questions. (Maximum word limit per answer 200)
 
1. Define personality. How does one acquire a winning or a poor personality?....8 Marks
 
2. Where do you see yourself five year hence, why and how? Discus.....8 Marks
 
3. Define good taste and bad taste. Illustrate eight emamples each of what you consider is in good and bad taste...... 8 Marks
 
4. Write an epitaph on yourself......8 Marks

Choose any two questions. (Maximum word limit per answer 200)
 
1. Write script for a radio spot on the theme of female feoticide. (It can be in the form of a jingle, drama or an announcement) with a maximum time length of 60 seconds. Mention target audience for the said radio spot.......7 Marks
 
2. Choose any one of current reality shows or one that was telecast in the recent past and discus the strategy behind audience involvement on the part of the cahnnel and the reasons of the mass frenzy.....7 Marks
 
3. "News is becoming entertainment." Analyze the statement in the light of the current scenario. Support your argument for or against the statement, giving various cases in point.... 7 Marks.
 
 
 
Part: D
Attempt both the questions. (Maximum word limit per answer 200)
 
1. Waht do you understand when the analysts define the market being "Bullish" or "Bearish"? How would you rate the current state of indian economy? Elucidate..... 7 Marks.
