Books & their authors, book reviews, film reviews, candidate's opinion on a particular topic and also general knowledge.
About the interview:-
Just be confident. The questions will come from all directions. About the place you come from, about the subjects you read, your hobbies, why you chose the course.

Preparation for the PG Diploma in English journalism
1. Read carefully the of the previous six months’ news articles and reports regarding the major political, international affairs, economical, financial and sports events. There is no need to read one or two year old magazines.
2. For better overviews of news events you can read Pratiyogita Darpan, Competition Success Review magazines.
3. Read the editorial pages and International news of Hindu and the Indian Express newspapers.
4. While reading underline the important points and also keep the cuttings of papers to revise it at least two days back of the entrance test.
5. While writing your answer try to make it short. At IIMC, examiner’s focus is more on content not on the length of your answer. Please work more on the grammatical aspect of your writing to reduce errors.
6. Written test contains 85% marks. So, try to get good score in it. It will compensate in case you perform bad in interview.
7. During the interview don't loose your confidence at any point of time. Avoid telling wrong facts and figures to the interviewer.
