Hi friends,
All the best for IIMC entrance test. No need to be panic at all, as you don't have to learn "rocket science" to pass this test. I hope all of you have been reading at least 2-3 prominent dailies regularly including The Hindu. Plus go through some quality current affairs magazines.
Dont opt "rattafication" as you have to have news sense to be a good journalist and ratta yaha kaam nahi karta. Written test is comparatively easier. The main task is interview & GD.
Being a sports journalist I can suggest you to go through the details of CWG scam, India's world cup win in 2011, Australia tour, Olympic preparations, Sports bill plus of course 100th international century of Sachin Tendulkar.
I belong to Indore and went for interview straight from the railway station. So all the talks about be presentable and emphasis on looks are rubbish. You are not going for a beauty contest. The interviewers will check your confidence level and knowledge of current affairs plus your perspective on relevant issues.
Keep in mind that your interview starts the moment you enter the room. Be confident, don't over express yourself and be focused.
All the very best
Mona Parthsarathi
