The secret to crack the IIMC code

An alumnus of the 2001-02 batch, Rakesh Kumar Das is currently engaged as an Assistant Editor with the Seven Sisters Post based at Guwahati, Assam. Earlier, Rakesh was associated with the Hindustan Times and have worked at places like Patna and Kolkata before moving to Guwahati.
Preparing for any entrance test is not easy and when it comes to IIMC, the issue is more serious.

The secret to crack the IIMC code is simple but needs honesty and commitment from the candidate. Students tend to complain that they don't get time to read the newspapers in the morning and depend mostly on the electronic media for news and views. Even I believe that electronic media is fast but newspapers give us more facts and details. But then, let us not forget that every medium has its own value and importance.

Reading newspapers on a daily helps one gather knowledge and keep one self abreast with current affairs. The most important advice that I want to give to those students who want to study at IIMC is, always keep your ideas simple, crisp and maintain a positive attitude.

In the media world, especially newspapers, simplicity is what matters most. The more simple you write the more people would like to read your story.

After all, which reporter doesn't want his stories to be read by one and all and evoke response from the readers. So, relax, read the newspapers daily and crack the IIMC code.

Best of luck
