Let the discussion happen...

A blogger friend from ADPR who calls herself D writer has left a comment on our 'regular' blog'.

We found it worth publishing for this blog as a post in its original form. This kind of prompt comments are always welcome from other friends also as their insight will enrich the content and can give it a direction.

After all it's a blog and the beauty of this medium lies in interactivity....

D writer has left a new comment on your post "Let's Unravel the Experience of our GD-PI...":

Congrats and all the best to the candidates. few things from my side. My GD-PI was a piece of cake...the entire GD group was selected baring a couple. Top was "Brand Wars-how relevant are they to audience."

The idea is to let the discussion happen. Dont get into arguments. And you need not dominate it. Just speak your points clearly, which what i did. As for the PI extra curicullars help if you want to get into creatives.

U might be asked to make a jingle on the spot. I was asked to make one on IIMC and sing it out. Someone else from our batch was asked to make one on juices...

Know the basics...like the name of some ad agencies...watch lots of tv...

cheers!

Hi,

Thankyou for this blog. Its really helpful. But there were two things I wanted to ask.

1. IIMC has been planning to offer 2 yrs courses in communication. Recently the HRD ministry has stalled this proposal. Does this mean it is better to do a 2 yr course rather than an 9 months program?

2. I am interested in joining the Ad & PR course. However on having spoken to a few students there, I realised that most students have entered public sector companies. There are very few students working actually in the industry like JWT, LOWE, O&M, Saatchi etc. Why is that?
