~ It's the commitment towards the field, which is being checked by the interviewers. Never exhibit that you are in journalism out of default. You need to prove that you have chosen the field as you think you are appropriate for the field.

~ If you have any previous published work with you, please do present them in front of the interviewers as it displays your passion for the field and your steadfastness towards creative jobs.

~ Be
straightforward and specific, while answering questions during the interview. The interviewers are no superhuman or encyclopedia, so worry not in answering their questions. Be clear and cohesive in your thoughts..

~ As a journalist, one is free to hold an opinion, but while presenting any information be impartial as you don't know what's the bent of interviewers.

~ Be confident in your answers, its not about the correct facts but also the presentation.

~ As a student of journalism, one has to study the entire gamut of the discipline, so be open and don't confine yourself to just area of your interest in the beginning.
