Enter With A Big Smile & Walk In Confidently !

Astha Mittal is of the AD-PR department of the batch 2011-2012. She has studied engineering in electronics & telecommunications from Pune before joining IIMC. Having entrepreneurial dreams toward the food industry after her studies she joined the Olive restaurant, Mehrauli to learn the basic nuances of a fine dining kitchen and the day to day operations of the restaurant. Being an avid traveller, currently she's travelling all over India in keen search of local cuisines & culture. She's doing her first exhibition "The Opening Show of The Novice" of her paintings at India Habitat Centre from 19-24 July 2014.

The IIMC entrance on a whole is not a very difficult exam to prepare for. It's an exam in which you don't have to cram, mug up or practice repetitive questions daily like other competitive exams.

As far as the GD-PI round goes, you should be mentally prepared to be asked general awareness questions on politics, sports and the recent happenings that have made news in the print or the electronic media.

The Group Discussion topics can range from economic development to the current political scenario of our nation. Please don't over stress yourself for this round. It is a highly relaxed atmosphere in the room and the key to crack it nothing other than confidence and being aware of the recent news. Read newspapers (Hindu, The Economic Times), recent issues of (India Today, TIME, Tehelka, Open, Frontline) magazines and you are sorted.

Make good eye contact, keep your body language good and be highly confident of the stand you take on an answer. Don't try changing it if the interviewee is trying to confuse you. Don’t fiddle with a pen or anything else, shows one's nervousness. Enter the room with a big smile and walk in confidently!

All The Best !!!
